Novelty cakes were never a big part of my business but over the years I (and my former team) had great fun and even more stress making some of them. Some of the photography is not the best - we were too busy finishing cakes and serving customers and coping with little kids running around to give the photography the thought and time we should. Shrek 16th Birthday Cake
I think I had been in the shop in Chorley for about 8 months when someone phoned asking for a price and the possibility of a freestanding Shrek cake. I had never done anything like it but took a chance and felt it may suit my hand and eye skills better than cars and fondant people (which I am still pretty rubbish at)
